Below is a series of photos that shows our largest 102″ truck mounted spade machine in operation. This machine is capable of moving a tree up to 40 feet tall and 18,000 lbs root-ball (tree’s original soil)

Step 1:

The spade truck is used to dig the hole
on site, such that the root-ball fits in perfectly within the spade.

Step 2:

The tree is dug from the original location along with it’s root-ball and soil.

Step 3:

The tree is safely transported to its new site in the spade, thus
preventing any disturbance or distortion of the delicate root system.

Step 4:

Tree is hydraulically raised to the vertical position and gently lowered into the pre-dug hole. The spades are then withdrawn from the hole and top-soil is added.
